General Hospital’s Adam J. Harrington Reveals Burst Blood Vessel, Explains Pool Scenes Eye Issue
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Adam J. Harrington (John “Jagger” Cates) delivered a great performance in the June 11 episode in some fun scenes with Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall). However, those scenes led to concerns about Harrington’s eye on social media.
Some fans speculated that Harrington might have a case of pink eye or another similar condition.
Others grew concerned over whether the pool water was dirty and might’ve caused the reddish hue instead.
Fortunately, Adam J. Harrington set the record straight on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It turns out there was a simple explanation for Harrington’s eye appearance – and it had nothing to do with the pool’s cleanliness.
“A blood vessel in my eye burst the night before we shot :). Pool is very clean. GH makes sure it’s safe for the cast,” Harrington said in his recent post.
It’s a relief to know that everyone behind the scenes is doing their part to make sure the actors are protected now that the pool set is back.
It’s always great when GH brings it out again, but we’re certainly glad to hear they’re focusing on safety.
Of course, the whole eye situation wasn’t very noticeable if you weren’t paying close attention.
The concern mostly came from fans doing screencaps, which allowed them to stop and get a better look at Harrington’s face.
Since some viewers were worried and curious about what was going on, it’s nice that Adam J. Harrington took the time to clear things up!
Harrington also addressed the fact that “Jagger” was trending for many fans following those scenes with Sam, so he offered an “aw shucks” and seemed pleased that viewers were enjoying his run.
As for what’s next in Port Charles, John will continue to dig for answers about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) since he suspects she could be the secret head of Pikeman now.
That’ll bring some tricky situations for Anna, who knows Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is running Pikeman instead.
