General Hospital Spoilers: Week of March 20 Review – Willow’s Never-Ending Medical Story – Esme’s Freedom Dooms PC

General Hospital (GH) spoilers review for the week of March 20-24 reveals that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) faced yet another setback in her health crisis. Willow’s leukemia battle has been tough, especially since GH writers seem so intent on dragging things out.

Fans saw some light at the end of the tunnel when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was finally confirmed as a bone marrow donor match, but now there’s a problem.

The treatment has been delayed since Obrecht has to wait for some medication to get out of her system.

Of course, Willow is already fading fast, so Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) certainly has concerns about how long this transplant is taking.

This is starting to feel like Willow’s never-ending medical story, but let’s hope they’ll pick up the pace toward the end.

Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) came up with a risky plan after meeting with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) at Spring Ridge.

Esme would probably just look like a poor traumatized young mother if she went before the jury now, especially with her memory issues.

That’s part of why Trina suggested dropping the charges for the time being and watching Esme closely for any signs of a slipup.

If Esme ultimately remembers her crimes, the charges could be refiled – and it’d make it a lot easier to score a conviction.

However, unleashing Esme on Port Charles again will inevitably mean taking a gamble.

There’s a good chance Esme’s memory flood is rapidly approaching, so you can bet she’ll keep faking her amnesia and stir up trouble on the outside.

Esme has proven she can be dangerous and destructive, but the threat could be even stronger if everyone gets lulled into a false sense of security.

Since so many people like Laura Collins (Genie Francis) see the love Esme has for her baby, it does create a more sympathetic image that Esme can exploit.

Esme’s freedom could doom Port Charles to another round of drama, but that’s a risk Trina’s willing to take for Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) sake.

Ace is just an innocent baby who doesn’t deserve to be behind bars, so Esme will soon be able to raise him as a free woman.

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will deliver some bad news to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Since things have suddenly gotten dangerous for Sonny and those connected to him, that’ll affect his relationship with Nina until he can figure out what to do about this threat.

There’s a mystery baddie out there who wants to take down Sonny, but he’ll hope to protect Nina by putting some distance between them.

Sonny will assure Nina that he intends to be careful, but he’ll also think it’s too risky to spend a lot of time together right now.

Of course, Nina won’t love the idea of pumping the brakes on their romance.

It’ll be hard for Nina to hear that Sonny wants to take a step back for safety’s sake, but she’ll accept that this is how it has to be.

GH spoilers say Sonny and Nina will endure a forced separation due to all the mob drama, but Sonny will assure Nina that it’s not forever.

It’s not like Sonny is dumping Nina or cutting off all contact, so they can still call, text and video chat if they want.

Nevertheless, Sonny is a major target at the moment, so it’s not wise for Nina to do things like visit restaurants with him or stay over at his place.

Nina will understand why this distance is a necessity and will indeed take a little break from her relationship with Sonny as a result.

This will also give Nina a chance to reflect on what Sonny does for a living and how this will affect her moving forward.

Nina will understand that certain risks come with the territory, but part of her will also worry about the danger spilling over onto other people she cares about.

There’ll be a lot for Nina to mull over, but she loves Sonny enough to get past this mob mess.

This whole situation will bring a difficult reality check for Nina, but her relationship with Sonny seems poised to come out stronger on the other side.
