January 29, 2021 marks the 76th birthday of everyone’s favorite mustachioed mega-hunk. And he’s proving once again that he’s only getting better with age. The legendary actor has had a storied career spanning decades, beginning with his iconic portrayal of Thomas Magnum in the 1980s hit television series, Magnum, P.I. and continuing with his current role as Police Commissioner, Frank Reagan, on CBS’s prime-time drama, Blue Bloods.

Tom met wife Jillie Mack in 1983 after he saw the English actress and dancer in a production of Cats. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony on August 7, 1987. They have been married for more than 33 years.

Shortly before leaving Magnum P.I. in 1988, Tom found success on the big screen in the hit comedy Three Men and a Baby, co-starring Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg.

Tom’s signature ‘stache is almost as famous as he is! Just don’t ask him for tips on how to grow a mustache as robust as his. “You either got it or you don’t,” he told GQ in 2014.

You can take the man out of the ranch, but you can’t take the ranch out of the man. Tom has lived on his Ventura, California ranch since 1988, when he quit Magnum P.I. for a quieter life with his family.

He’s back! In the mid-90s, Tom returned to the small screen to charm a new generation of fans in his recurring role as Dr. Richard Burke, Monica’s love interest on Friends.

Tom’s most important role is being a family man. “I’ve always treasured the balance between work and time with my family. It’s always about them,” he said in a 2020 interview with People.
