Sister Wives – This Was The Most Hilarious Part Of Robyn And Kody’s Wedding

Happy Monday everyone! Tonight James, Amanda, and I will dive into all the gloriousness that is Robin and Cody’s magical, butterfly-adorned wedding day. This really was a magical, beautiful, and stressful day for Cody’s newest wife, and you know who seemingly didn’t lift a finger to help? Cody’s original three wives. Weddings can be a stressful event, trying to make sure the day goes off without a hitch. Typically, that’s when bridesmaids or family members come in and try to take the stress off of the Bride so she can enjoy the day as much as possible. But if you grew up polygamous, you might take the opportunity of a TLC-funded wedding to pamper yourself, which is exactly what the OG3 did.

Today I want to talk about what I found to be the most hilarious part of Robin and Cody’s wedding day. We have a lot to talk about, so let’s get into today’s video!

Hey everyone, what’s up? It’s Sarah, and welcome back to my channel. Bear with me with the lighting and everything, I’m switching up my background. My cat absolutely destroyed my couch, so we just can’t have nice things. So, I changed it up, and I’m working on it, but I’m still working on lighting, so just bear with me. And real quick, before we jump into today’s video topic, we need to talk about TLC casting for a hot second.

I previously made a video on Justin and Becky Ryan. I think I titled that video “TLC’s Most Problematic Casting Choice.” Well, it looks like I spoke too soon. Justin and Becky Ryan are appearing on Season 5 of Seeking Sister Wife. Becky is the stepdaughter of super creep Tony Al, who thankfully died in prison some years ago, but the dude was a mega predator. It caused us to side-eye the decision to cast this monster’s stepdaughter on this show when she and her husband talk so fondly of their upbringing. It’s a big yikes. But apparently, TLC was like, “That’s not enough, let’s cast an actual predator himself.” TLC just cast this creep Kyle Gordy on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise, and this dude is a hobby sperm donor. He’s a digital nomad traveling the world trying to have as many kids as possible through artificial and natural insemination.

This guy doesn’t charge for his services, and he seems to be preying on vulnerable women desperate to have a child that may not be able to afford IVF or obtain a sperm donor from a reputable clinic. There’s just a whole slew of ethical and legal issues that this brings up. This dude has actually appeared on a Vice documentary about sperm donation and an episode of Dr. Phil, so there’s really no conceivable way TLC can feign ignorance to this dude’s background. So, it begs the question: What is going on at TLC? If we think TLC is ever going to take some moral stance against problematic cast members, we should definitely think again. Now, it seems like they’re actively seeking out the most shocking people to be on their shows. And the reason why I bring this up is it does have me concerned going into Season 19 of Sister Wives with just how tactful production is going to handle the recent events that have transpired in the Brown family. Moral compunction seems to be at an all-time low over at The Learning Channel.

But back to the topic at hand. Tonight, James, Amanda, and I will be recapping Season 1, Episode 7 of Sister Wives titled “Four Wives and Counting…” This is the episode that depicts the magnificent celebration of Robin becoming Cody’s fourth wife. Yet, according to the episode title, with that clever use of an ellipsis, it would appear at least production wasn’t closing the door on the possibility of even more wives joining the fold. Wouldn’t that have been something to have watched Robin have to deal with being sidelined while Cody courted someone younger and even more fertile than her? I mean, she still is the last wife standing, so I guess never say never. Based off of Cody’s interview that he did with Mormonism Live, he claims to know a bunch of successful polygamists, and he seems to blame a series of bad matches for his failures in plural marriage. Could it be conceivable that Cody dips his toe back into the plural marriage pond? I don’t know. He seems to be very opposed to the idea, but he doesn’t disavow the lifestyle. He just thinks he got a bad batch of wives. Could a Robin 2.0 convince him love really can be multiplied and not divided? I mean, the chances are low, but they’re not zero.
