‘Sister Wives’ Fans Demand TLC Dump Kody Brown and Give Christine and Janelle a Spinoff Show
A preview of the upcoming Sister Wives three-part Tell All special confirmed that Kody and Janelle Brown had split — and fans applauded the news.
“I think if we both really sat down, we’d look at each other say, ‘Really?’” Janelle told host Sukanya Krishnan, in a teaser. “We’ve been separated for several months.”
“Janelle has made it pretty clear to me that she’s enjoying her life without me,” Kody said in the clip.
Viewers cheered Janelle for making her move in the wake of Kody’s third wife, Christine Brown’s departure from the family, last year. Christine and Kody announced their breakup in November 2021, after a 25-year spiritual marriage.
Fans sounded off about the plural game-changer on social media — and let the network know how they felt about the series moving on with only Kody, Robyn, and Meri Brown in the mix.
A flood of viewers are demanding that TLC reward Christine and Janelle with their own spinoff show.
Fans know that Kody and Meri share only a platonic relationship and with Janelle’s exit, Kody’s “love multiplied” narrative is hanging by a thread. The TLC patriarch is currently living in a monogamous relationship with his only legal wife, Robyn Brown, shattering the entire premise of the long-running reality series.
Fans are already looking ahead to next season and sending a clear message to TLC, via social media.

Reasons Why Gabe Cut Ties With Sister Wives’ Kody Brown
Sister Wives fans sadly learned that Gabriel Brown decided to cut all ties with his father, Kody Brown, after a series of unfortunate events.
Sister Wives fans were left heartbroken during a recent episode when Gabe Brown opened up about his failing relationship with his father, Kody Brown.
The 21-year-old has been very vocal about how he feels his father has failed as a parent. Instead of taking constructive criticism, Kody decided to lash out at his child.
Since 2020, Sister Wives stars Gabe and Kody have failed to see eye to eye on many issues. The main crux of their argument came down to Kody’s implementation of his rigid rules around cv 19 While the patriarch tried his best to protect his family, he alienated most of them to keep his fourth wife,
Robyn Brown, and their children safe. Gabe broke all the rules leaving his father angry rather than concerned. Sadly, the two men never got their relationship back on track.
Gabe Brown Had A Breakdown
Sister Wives viewers could hardly stomach Gabe’s emotional breakdown when he spoke to cameras about how he no longer has a relationship with his father.
One main reason Gabe, who Janelle is proud of, cut Kody off was that the father of 18 forgot to wish him a happy birthday. Instead, he called Gabe on his special day to quiz him on the symptoms and side effects of ᴄᴏᴠ1ᴅ-19.
Gabe and his brother, Garrison Brown, always believed Robyn was behind the rules and even texted her to ask her to relax a bit. Kody, naturally, was offended and demanded his children apologize to her.
Kody Kicked Gabe Out Of His Home
It also didn’t help that Kody told Gabe to move out of the house at the height of Kody’s isolation. Cameras caught Kody telling Janelle, “They’re adults. Bye-bye.” Gabe has tried on more than one occasion to reach out to Kody, who recently split from Meri Brown.
During the last season, Gabe confronted his father asking why he was “made to make a decision” between his father and his girlfriend. The pandemic clearly caused a growing distance between the father and son.
Sadly, the nail in the coffin for Gabe was when he didn’t get so much as a “happy birthday” from Kody. A Sister Wives season 17 episode showed Gabe crying on the confessional sofa. Janelle’s son revealed that when his father called, he chose not to remind him to see if Kody would remember; when the patriarch didn’t,
Gabe revealed that was the last time he spoke with his father. Fans don’t blame Gabe, whose been treated poorly by Kody, for cutting his father out since their relationship has become more ᴛᴏ.x.ɪᴄ than loving in recent years. However, many hope the two will one day be able to work it out and reconcile.
Sister Wives fans are taking a closer look at Gabe and Dayton Brown. They are starting to feel like one of them got preferential treatment over the other. Are the two really that different in the long run?

Sister Wives Fans Look Closer: Gabe Versus Dayton
Gabe and Dayton are really not that different at first glance. In fact, Dayton is the older brother, having been born in January 2000 whereas Gabe was born in October 2001. However, there is one big difference.
They have different mothers. Gabe’s mom is Kody Brown’s second wife, Janelle, and Dayton’s is his fourth wife, Robyn’s eldest son. It is well-known, even among Kody’s wives, that Robyn is the favorite and the standard to which they should live up.
Plus, Dayton has Aspergers so that could also lead to his special treatment but he was succeeding in college and living a prosperous life. It just seemed that his parents coddled him, not allowing him to thrive in the way that would benefit him more. Yet, what has really gotten fans was the treatment the two boys got during the pandemic.
A Reddit thread was started to take a closer look at this. “Were they both in school at the time of Covid and Kody’s strict rules? Why was Dayton allowed to live in Robyn’s house but Gabe was asked to move out of Janelle’s house? I’m pretty sure Gabe was also in school. Isn’t that important?” it started.
Yes, Gabe was in school and had a girlfriend who was isolating herself as much as possible. Still, Kody deemed him and his hard-working brother, Garrison “too social,” and wanted Janelle to evict them. One person noted that Gabe and Garrison were out with friends plus school was remote by then so they were not being as cautious as they could’ve been. As for Dayton, he was following Kody’s rules to perfection.
Picking Favorites?
One Sister Wives fan noted this: “Like it or not, Kody is closer to Robyn’s kids because they are submissive to him. Kody has communicated very clearly that he is only interested in having a relationship with people who will submit to him and do as they are told. It’s sick and unfair and horrible parenting but it’s pretty consistent.”
Others simply believed that he used Gabe having a life as a way to be with the wife that he wanted to be with. Plus, he could not control Gabe like he could Dayton. This is the same problem Kody has had with Janelle. Hence why their marriage fell apart as he wanted everyone to fall in line with his patriarchal beliefs. He has said he cannot be with someone who does not respect him but what is there to respect after how he has behaved?
