Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Files Permit to Upgrade His and Wife Robyn’s $1.8 Million Arizona Home

Sister Wives star Kody Brown and wife Robyn Brown’s Flagstaff, Arizona home is set for a major renovation as In Touch confirmed the dad of 18 filed permits to upgrade the $1.8 million property.

The reality TV alum, 54, applied for a residential self-issue permit on December 11, according to records viewed by In Touch. The documentation was approved the same day and will remain valid until June 7, 2024.

The couple — who legally wed in December 2014 — seemingly plan on making some major changes as the permit allows homeowners to reroof, add yard lines and possibly demolish some parts of the home. In addition, the TLC personalities plan on making upgrades to the panels, water heater and mechanical equipment.

Kody and Robyn, 45, purchased the 4,4000 square-foot Flagstaff home for $890,000 in September 2019, and the home is estimated now to be worth more than $1.8 million, according to The Sun.

Kody and Robyn’s home is separate from the $820,000 Coyote Pass property the former-polygamous family purchased in 2018 with the intention of Kody living with his four wives and their children. Following Kody’s subsequent splits from Meri BrownJanelle Brown and Christine Brown, the land remains bare, with construction still halted on the massive property.

Kody’s ex and third wife, Christine, wiped her hands clean of the Coyote Pass land following their November 2021 split when she sold her share of the property back to Kody and Robyn for $10. The full cash value of Christine’s portion was valued at $213,420 at the time of her July 2022 sale.

Despite Robyn and Kody’s plan to put thousands of dollars into their home upgrades, In Touch confirmed last month that the pair owed nearly $5,000 in late property taxes for the Coyote Pass property.

As of November 1, Kody and Robyn were listed as the owners of three of five parcels and owed $539.24, $890.15 and $1,292.42 in late property taxes, respectively. Kody and his exes Meri and Janelle, 54, were listed on the fourth one and owed $1,246.77. The fifth plot of land was owned by Kody and Janelle, and they owed $890.15.

It’s not currently clear what Kody plans to do with the property, as Robyn remains his only wife. After Christine announced she left the businessman, In Touch broke the news that Janelle split from Kody in December 2022. One month later, Meri and Kody confirmed they ended their marriage in a statement posted on Instagram.

LAND REMAINS UNTOUCHED

In October, The U.S. Sun shared exclusive new photos of what Coyote Pass looked like currently.

The pics showed that construction still has not started.

The only thing that is on the bleak land is loads of uncut grass and a wooden fence, which indicates the property lines.

There might not be any construction work on Coyote Pass in the immediate future.

Kody and Robyn plan on upgrading panels, mechanical equipment, and their water heater among other things

A source previously told The U.S. Sun: “Kody and Robyn have no plans for building on Coyote Pass – at least not at this point.”

The insider insisted: “There have been no talks whatsoever.

“It’s very expensive and they have to come to an agreement on what their plans actually are.”

The four parcels, that were divided into five properties – one for Kody and each of the wives – have remained vacant since 2018.

Christine, for her part, has since sold her Coyote Pass property to Kody and Robyn for $10 in July 2022.

The sale occurred nearly one year after their split in November 2021, and she is now living in Utah with her new husband David Woolley.

Meri, 52, also split from Kody in December 2022 and now spends most of her time at her bed and breakfast in Utah.

PAY UP!

The U.S. Sun previously reported Kody owed nearly $5,000 on property taxes that were due on November 1, 2023.

According to the Coconino Treasurer, Kody and Janelle, 54, owe $890.15, including interest, on their Coyote Pass land.

Another plot of land with Kody, Meri, and Janelle’s name on it is behind $1,246.77, including interest, in taxes.

Janelle, who split with Kody in December 2022, told cameras: 'I'm stuck. Financially, I have nothing'

In addition, Kody and Robyn owe $1,292.42 in taxes on their plot of land, while they also owe $890.15, including interest, for their second plot.

The taxes on Kody and Robyn’s five-bedroom, four-bathroom house that they purchased in 2019 have been paid off.

But they still owe $539.24, including interest, on taxes for a plot of land next to their home.

MARRIAGE IN TROUBLE?

During the December 10 special of Sister Wives: One on One, Robyn shed light on her marital issues with Kody.

She told host Sukanya Krishnan that the father of 18 “tries to” sabotage their relationship and she has to “stop him all the time.”

She revealed: “He picks fights with me [over] dumb things.

“We’re in different places. We’re in different places about the bomb that went off on our family.

“And like, I’m in a major place of mourning and he’s angry. He just wants to just go find whatever, you know? And I’m like, ‘No, I can’t feel like that.'”
