Sister Wives star Kody Brown has fans of his TLC series taking something he said as a rather nasty reveal about himself, still, it appeared as if he didn’t see it that way at the time. Fans watched as Kody Brown seemed to come up with a solution for a problem presented to him. But the solution he came up with appeared to give the Sister Wives fans a clue to his hidden agenda. This started when Meri Brown stopped by to visit Kody and Robyn Brown.
It was the scene where his first wife told Kody she was moving her clothing business to her B&B in Utah. She made it clear this in no way indicated she was giving up on them. It just made good sense to combine both businesses in one location.
She told Kody that she was downsizing her home in Flagstaff by taking on a smaller place when she came back to town. Meri had this talk with Kody after Robyn filled her head with false hope.
Robyn told her that their shared husband was possibly changing his mind about a relationship reboot with her. So, she might have a future relationship with him.
How About the Loft in Our Garage?
Kody Brown offered his estranged first wife the loft over the garage he planned on building when his Coyote Pass home goes up. What happened to Meri Brown’s house on Coyote Pass, the one Robyn said Kody was always talking about?
But when it came time for Kody to talk in front of the Sister Wives cameras alone, he basically said he didn’t care about his first wife as a partner in life anymore. So, why offer to house her above his lawnmower, rakes, and tools?
Fans think they know what Kody has up his sleeve in that scene. He didn’t care about a relationship with Meri anymore, yet he offered to house her in his garage. But why?
Sister Wives: Money at the Root for Kody?
For a long time, Sister Wives viewers heard about the family’s shared finances. The wives who worked pooled their funds into an account, along with their TLC salaries.
They used this money for all four families to pay everything from their bills to a new car. It didn’t matter who put the most or least amount of money in the family’s cookie jar. Fans suggest this is the only reason he makes an effort to reel Janelle Brown back in as well. As one viewer suggests in the tweet below.

Janelle Brown suggested this season that Robyn Brown got the lion’s share of their combined funds. To many fans, this didn’t seem fair. Considering that this show aired for years, and she didn’t seem to work, besides appearing on the show.
So some Sister Wives fans think that loft over the garage for Meri is Kody’s idea of keeping Meri’s contributions to the family rolling in. Some of the viewers think this was also behind Robyn’s seemingly desperate attempts to keep Meri as part of the plural marriage.
Dollar Signs Become the Agenda?
Robyn acted on the Sister Wives camera as if she and Meri were close. But, Kody debunked that by saying they rarely saw his first wife. Then Gwendlyn Brown offered up a blurb a while back about Kody and the only wife he had left. She said these two spent way beyond their means.
So, some fans suggest today that the nasty offer to put Meri above the garage was all about keeping that money flowing. For Meri, it was an insult that he intended to store her among his other belongings that he doesn’t use too often.
