Tom Selleck Heartbreaking Marriage: Jacqueline Ray (1971 – 1982) – Jillie Mack (1987 – present)

Tom Selleck’s marriage to Jacqueline Ray lasted from 1971 to 1982. The actor and model Jacqueline shared a decade-long marriage before announcing their separation. Although the couple did not have biological children, Tom adopted Jacqueline’s son from a previous relationship and continued to play a significant paternal role in his life.

After his divorce from Jacqueline, Tom traveled to London to film his next movie, where he developed a fascination with the West End show Cats. Despite not being drawn to the elaborate costumes or catchy tunes, Tom found himself captivated by one of the energetic dancers, Julie Joanem, who portrayed Rumple Teaser. Tom admitted to attending the show repeatedly to watch Julie perform, attending more than a dozen times.

Despite being 14 years younger than Tom, Julie agreed to go on a date with him, and the two quickly formed a connection. In 1987, after five years together, they secretly tied the knot in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The wedding was shrouded in secrecy, with the couple adopting aliases and even keeping the identity of the minister performing the service under wraps until the last minute. They ensured that only Polaroid photos were taken to prevent any leaks to the press.

The couple welcomed their first and only child together, a daughter named Hannah, the following year. They chose to raise her away from the spotlight on a 65-acre avocado ranch in California’s Hidden Valley, previously owned by Dean Martin. Tom reduced his work commitments to spend more time with his new family on the ranch, a decision he attributed to finding balance in his life. “I quit Magnum to have a family,” Tom confessed to People. “It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that.”
