Holy Crap! That Really *Was* Who You Thought It Was on General Hospital

The December 7 episode of General Hospital had some asking, “Who was that playing the medical examiner? Was that really Barry Livingston?” That was in fact seasoned actor Barry Livingston! His character appeared while Anna and Dante were at the morgue discussing the report on the arson that took place at her house.

Dante informed that nothing pointed to Charlotte as being the arsonist and that they had found another suspect. However, when the M.E. appeared and told them that the WSB had arrived and had taken Forsythe’s body, as well as classified all the reports, including his autopsy, Dante and Anna also learned that he’d had a burn on his left leg.

However, Thursday’s episode wasn’t the first time we saw Livingston on the ABC soap. The actor appeared back in the Wednesday, November 22, episode when Dante and Chase questioned the medical examiner about the death of a pedestrian — one that looked as though he’d been hit by a fast-moving vehicle.

It was then that the M.E. stated that the man had been healthy, and not impaired, so there had been no explanation as to why he would step in front of a vehicle. And when he also revealed that the victim had hid a key in his left shoe, fingerprints proved the man had been Forsythe.

While there is no telling if we’ll see Livingston turn up again in Port Charles, this isn’t his first daytime role… He played Mike DeMartin on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2009 and is best known for his role as Ernie Douglas on My Three Sons and over the years has appeared on shows such as How I Met Your Father, The Fugitive, Glee and Grey’s Anatomy, to name a small few.
