The January 22 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful certainly got people talking — but as much for what they saw in the closing credits as for what happened during the show itself. Among the names listed was a Kate Schettler. And her character? None other than Diana.

Now it could have been a coincidence that the soap was about to introduce someone who shares the same first name as Sheila’s long-gone daughter with ex-lover Massimo Marone (aka Ridge’s biological father). But are there ever really coincidence on daytime dramas?
If Sheila’s spawn is who is being played by Schettler, who previously was a nurse on General Hospital and a paramedic on primetime soap Star, the merry murderess and fiancé Deacon might at last have something to do besides wait tables and speculate about other characters’ love lives. (When did those two become the new Pam and Charlie?!?)
Since we know that Sheila is estranged from all of her children, Diana, who has been MIA for more than two decades, would likely show up in L.A. as opposed to Mom marrying Deacon as everybody else. But what steps would she take to keep Sheila from getting to the church on time — or at all?
Could Diana have as many screws loose as Mom? Or perhaps she’s as sane as Hope and would team up with Deacon and Brooke’s daughter to ensure that their parents don’t become one another’s worst influences. Whatever the case may be, you have to admit Schettler does bear more than a passing resemblance to Kimberlin Brown.
