The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of August 21 – Love Triangle Heats Up, Career Twists and Bold Moves

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 21-25 reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will rise to the challenge. There’ll be a fresh role for Chance to tackle in Genoa City, so it sounds like this will involve his career.

Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) retired and has been living in Portugal, but there was talk about a new police chief at one point.

However, that person may simply be filling in until a permanent replacement can be named.

It’s easy to imagine Chance getting promoted and sliding in Paul’s old spot.

Whether Chance becomes the next police chief or takes some other job instead, it seems likely he’ll get Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) support.

Summer may find herself increasingly drawn to Chance despite his budding romance with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), so this could become a full-fledged love triangle if this keeps up.

Other Y&R spoilers say Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will have some good advice for Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), so we’ll see if this involves work or something more personal.

Since Chloe will provide encouragement in some way, she might give Esther the confidence she needs to make a pitch at Chancellor-Winters and go a bit beyond her status as a receptionist.

Then again, this could involve Esther’s love life since we know she previously got on a dating app and has been trying to lock in her romantic future.

Over with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll make a big request of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) – though it could feel like more of a demand since this is Victor we’re talking about!

Whatever the case, Victor will put some pressure on Nick when it comes to passing a test and proving he’s a loyal Newman.

It’ll be interesting to see if all this ties in with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) or if Victor will let Adam crash and burn on his own.

Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will take quite a gamble, so will that involve a situation at Chancellor-Winters?

Will Lily take a business risk that could either end with a huge reward or a terrible loss?

That’s one option to consider, but Lily’s gamble could also involve putting her heart out there if she asks Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) to officially move in.

Part of Lily might worry that it’s too soon, but another part of her may think it feels right.

Regardless, Lily will deliver updates to someone as she moves forward with a risky decision, so stay tuned for news on her future.
