The Young & Restless

The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, August 16 – Sally Storms Out Over Adam’s Dirty Trick

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 16, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will visit the ranch, where she’ll talk to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) crossing the line again.

Although Victoria will hope this is the last straw, Victor will confess that he’s given Adam one more chance.

That news will leave Victoria fuming – and she won’t trust Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) either since she was involved in a scandal and only came to Victor when she was out of options.

Victor will assume Victoria wants him to get rid of Adam and fire Audra, but Victoria will end up deciding that maybe they can trust Audra after all.

However, Victoria will stand her ground on Adam since enough is enough. It’ll leave Victoria hoping it’s not too late once Victor finally accepts that.

As for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), Nikki will have plenty of concerns since Nate secretly helped Audra push the merger and misled Victoria about the situation.

Victoria will make excuses for Nate and act like he was only trying to help Audra.

Furthermore, Nate genuinely believed that Newman Media merging with Adustus was a good idea and backed off when Victoria said no.

After Victoria defends Nate, she’ll take off and leave Nikki to discuss Adam with Victor.

It’ll be hard for Nikki to keep watching Victor get hurt, so she’ll point out that Adam never learns his lesson.

Once Nikki says they’re stronger when they stand united, Victor will acknowledge that maybe it’s time to reassess his relationship with Adam.

At Adam’s condo, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will talk to him about the photos she found and how it’s not healthy to hold onto the past.

Adam will get that Sally’s moved on, but he won’t be able to forget their history or turn off what he feels for her.

Sally and Adam will share a close moment before Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) pounds on the door.

Once Adam opens up, Nick will barge in and mention getting updates from Victor on what happened with Audra.

Nick will be taken aback to find Sally, who’ll wonder what he’s so upset about.

After Nick blabs about Adam’s blackmail scheme, Adam will try to spin it like he was just taking advantage of a good opportunity.

Although Adam will defend his plot, Sally will get fed up and decide it’s time to leave.

After Sally assures Nick that she’ll explain the reason for her Adam visit later, she’ll head back to her suite.

Once they’re alone, Nick will act like Adam’s being immature about his Newman Media obsession and threatening to blow the opportunity Victor’s given him.

Nick will also make it clear that he’s with Sally now and push Adam to accept that.

However, Adam will feel like the pain he caused Sally will fade and that she’ll realize she should be with someone who loves her more than Nick ever could.

After Adam insists he doesn’t care about Nick’s feelings, Nick will insist it’s Adam’s fault that he’s alone with nothing.

Adam will push Nick to get out, but Nick will warn that he’s not going to let this slide as he goes.

Once Nick meets up with Sally in her room, she’ll confess there’s been a gradual change in her relationship with Adam.

Sally was able to move past her anger and brought Adam a housewarming gift as a gesture of goodwill – just to show that she wants to move forward.

After Sally explains how things didn’t go according to plan, Nick will suggest forgetting about Adam and enjoying their reunion.

Sally will welcome Nick home from his trip as they reconnect with some passion.

Downstairs at the GCAC, Nate will seem pensive as he sits with a drink at the bar.

There’ll be a flashback of Audra urging Nate to cement his relationship with Victoria.

When Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), Nate will needle him about dodging some trouble now that Audra’s blackmail situation is resolved.

Tucker will caution Nate when it comes to risky Audra since she’s focused on herself – and you won’t see it coming if she goes after what she wants.

When Victoria shows up later and seems uneasy over Nate secretly helping Audra, he’ll do his best to reassure her.

Nate will apologize for his mistake and vow that there’ll be no more secrets between them, so Victoria will soften a bit.

Up in Audra’s suite, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will talk to her about the possibility of an Adam-less merger and the empire they could build.

After lovemaking, Audra will mention how they balance each other out since she likes fun and Kyle needs more in his life.

Audra will also hint about being willing to spend the night with Kyle at this point in their romance, but they’ll be interrupted by Tucker’s knock at the door.

Kyle will greet “Uncle Tucker,” who’ll seem amused over finding him in Audra’s suite.

Tucker will seek more info on how Audra neutralized the threat, but she’ll insist it’s over and invite him to talk to Adam if he wants.

Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Audra and Kyle will bump into Adam down in the jazz lounge. Adam will suggest he’s not sure whether Audra is a genius or a coward for running to Victor.
