The Young & Restless

The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, July 13 – Kyle Removes Wedding Ring – Billy Pushes Diane to Resign

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 13, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will spot Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in the jazz lounge and decide to join her at a table.

That’ll give Nikki a chance to quiz Jack about all the drama happening with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), so he’ll worry she’s on a fact-finding mission for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Nikki will be offended over Jack thinking she’d have ulterior motives, so he’ll apologize for being paranoid.

Once the tension lifts, Nikki will offer to help, but Jack won’t see how she can.

Although Nikki won’t be willing to forgive and forget when it comes to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), she’ll see that Jack is truly happy.

The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, July 13 – Kyle Removes Wedding Ring – Billy Pushes Diane to Resign

Jack will make it clear that he’ll do whatever it takes to save Diane and Jabot, but Nikki will worry about him becoming the person he used to be when he battled Victor all those years ago.

Meanwhile, Diane will find Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in the CEO office, so they’ll put their cards on the table over drinks.

Billy will realize that Diane doesn’t want Jack stooping to Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) level, so she wants his brother to do it instead.

However, Billy won’t see the need to resort to unscrupulous methods at this point.

If Tucker and Ashley make a move against them, Billy will assure Diane that he’ll be willing to get down in the mud then.

After Billy pushes Diane to focus on planning her wedding, he’ll urge her to resign.

Billy will argue that if Diane steps away temporarily, it’ll be the best way to protect Jack and the company.

At Society, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will approach Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and admit she heard about Summer’s separation from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Summer will expect a lecture, but Abby will offer a hug and some supportive words instead.

Once the conversation shifts to Jabot, Abby will get updates on Ashley’s new company.

Although Abby will feel like she should abstain if a vote happens, Summer will think Abby will have to pick a side.

At Crimson Lights, Kyle will fill Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) in on his official separation from Summer and why he walked away from Jabot.

Mariah will be taken aback to learn Kyle is rushing into a new job as Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) COO at Newman Media.

Although Mariah will push Kyle to take a breath before accepting it, he’ll lash out over everyone thinking they know what’s best for him.

Kyle will argue that he’s seeing things more clearly than he has in a long time.

Since Mariah was honest with Kyle, he’ll be honest with her and insist she should jump ship at Jabot. If they’d treat family the way they treated Kyle, he’ll act like Mariah will get treated even worse.

When Mariah balks at the idea, Kyle will point out that he warned her and will wish her good luck.

As Kyle exits, he’ll tell Mariah to enjoy working with Summer and will seem agitated.

Back at the jazz lounge, Y&R spoilers say Kyle will contemplate getting in touch with Audra.

Once Kyle looks down at his wedding band, he’ll remove it and slip it into his pocket.

As for Summer, she’ll look glum over an article on her tablet about Kyle leaving Marchetti due to family discord.

Abby will also text Ashley in hopes of finding out whether this new company of hers is really happening.

At the Abbott house, Tucker will surprise Ashley with flowers and Champagne since they have a lot to celebrate – including the fact that they’re madly in love.

Ashley won’t say it back, so Tucker will seem frustrated over her constantly testing him.

Once talk turns to business, Ashley will toast to pulling the rug out from under Jabot one employee at a time.

In Ashley’s opinion, the key will be to make Jabot’s employees hate and distrust Diane as much as they love Jack.

Ashley will want to show Jack that he’ll have no loyalty if Diane is part of the picture.

If Ashley can’t save Jack, she’ll at least want to save her father’s legacy.

Tucker will also mention how they’re going to use Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to send Diane off the rails and then take back Ashley’s patents.

Once Simply Ashley is up and running with former Jabot employees, then Ashley and Tucker will plan to swoop in and take over Jabot.

Ashley will insist she’s only ruthless because she has to be and will praise for all his help.

As a reward, Tucker will once again push Ashley to tell him that she’s in love with him.

Ashley will shut Tucker down by kissing him and suggesting actions speak louder than words, but he’ll seem disappointed.

Once Jack finds Diane and Billy at work, he’ll feel like they have to be ready to fight.
