Jessica Serfaty Makes a Big Announcement — But Is There More to It Than Meets the Eye?

We all know that Sloan’s married life with Eric is far from perfect on Days of Our Lives. Apart from the big secret hanging over her head that she stole Nicole’s baby, she’s also battling through frequent bouts of jealousy that little Jude is getting more attention from Eric than she is. Having a baby seemed like the perfect way to get her man (and keep him away from his ex), but the reality for a woman who, as Leo put it “doesn’t have a motherly bone in her body,” is far different!
Luckily, real life is nothing like a soap opera. So when Jessica Serfaty shared on Instagram back in July that she said yes to beau Leonardo Del Vecchio’s proposal, we didn’t feel anything but excitement and joy for the happy couple! Since then, they’ve been a bit mum about when the actual day would be, but then, suddenly, it looked like the day finally came!
Because on Monday, Serfaty and Del Vecchio shared a joint Instagram post of what looks like a ceremony from Amanbagh in Rajasthan India with the caption, “Well… we did it!”
With that said, the couple did post it on April first, which, as we all know is also April Fool’s Day. We’re always cautious whenever anything is announced on this day! But life doesn’t stop just because it’s April first and a spring wedding in India sounds downright beautiful.

At this point, thanks to how far in advance Days of Our Lives shoots, Serfaty and the rest of the cast have likely filmed the resolution to the baby Jude saga. Admittedly, though, nothing is certain when it comes to Salem! But unless Eric is very forgiving, we don’t see his and Sloan’s marriage lasting once the truth comes out.
Serfaty and Del Vecchio, though, look to have a far more stable relationship than Sloan ever pulled off and we wish the happy couple only the best whenever they start their new life together! That day, however, isn’t today. Because while the post looked legit despite the date, on April 1st, nothing is any more certain than on Days of Our Lives! And a couple hours later, Serfaty shared an update on her Instagram stories.
“April Fools,” she wrote. “As if we’d get married without our friends and family. Soon to be. You silly kids.”
OK, we’ll admit it, they got us! As far as April Fools pranks go, this one was well thought out! But hey, we’re still happy for Serfaty and Del Vecchio and are sure the actual big day is going to be incredible!
