The Young and the Restless Update: Monday, March 20 – Jeremy Tries to Seduce Phyllis – Lily & Devon’s Arbitration Hearing

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, March 20, teases that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will be taken aback over Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) engagement bombshell, especially since his proposal to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) happened so fast.

Even so, Traci will think no one deserves to find love and happiness more than Jack.

Although Jack will appreciate the support, he won’t believe everyone will respond as well to his marriage decision.

When Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) finds Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in the hotel lobby, she’ll scold him for approaching her in public.

Phyllis will want to take this conversation up to Jeremy’s room before they’re spotted, but it’ll be too late since Diane will appear.

Diane will realize Phyllis is in cahoots with Jeremy and that she used Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) as part of her latest scheme.

Once Diane blasts Phyllis for helping Jeremy lure her back to town, she’ll gloat about Jack and mention some news that’ll be revealed soon.

Afterward in Jeremy’s suite, Phyllis will dwell on Diane’s cryptic updates, but Jeremy will push her to keep her eye on the prize.

Jeremy will also flirt with Phyllis and hint about all the things they could do together, but she’ll shut down his obvious attempt to hook up – though she’ll at least flirt back a bit.

At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will go over some bicentennial party details with Traci before Jeremy finds her alone.

Although Nikki will push Jeremy to leave GC before Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) ruins his life, Jeremy will taunt her and hint about Diane getting what she’s got coming.

Once the topic of the bicentennial party comes up, Nikki will make it clear that Jeremy isn’t invited. Jeremy won’t seem all that deterred and will hint about this being a night to remember.

Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Diane will rat Phyllis out to Jack and let him know all about her partnership with Jeremy.

Jack will fume over Phyllis’ deception and the fact that Jeremy never went to Europe at all.

Since Phyllis used Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as pawns in her scheme, that’ll enrage Jack.

It’ll seem like Phyllis is squandering every opportunity to do better and is giving into her worst impulses.

Although Diane will battle concerns about Jeremy and Phyllis’ plans, Jack will insist on tackling this as a team.

As Jack pulls Diane close, he’ll refuse to let anyone take their happiness away.

Later, Phyllis will fib to Traci about Summer running behind for their meeting at the Abbott house.

That’ll score Phyllis some time alone in the living room since Traci will have to take off.

Phyllis will go on the hunt for some of Diane’s personal items like Jeremy requested, so she’ll look in Diane’s handbag and find the engagement ring.

While Phyllis is trying to wrap her head around that, Diane will come downstairs and confront her.

Once Phyllis realizes she could get caught holding the ring, she’ll put it behind her back and turn to face Diane.

Phyllis will lie about her meeting with Summer, but Diane won’t buy it and won’t think she should be anywhere near this house considering her connection to Jeremy.

Once Phyllis turns back around, she’ll seemingly put the ring box back in Diane’s purse before fiddling with her own bag.

Phyllis will presumably swipe the ring itself and leave the box behind so that Diane doesn’t realize it’s missing just yet.

After Phyllis pretends to get a text from Summer, she’ll sarcastically tell Diane it was nice chatting with her and head for the exit.

At the coffeehouse, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will assure Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that she did everything she could to stop this fight with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

Now that the arbitration hearing is happening, Daniel will insist Lily’s absolutely right to do whatever it takes to win.

At Devon’s place, he’ll grumble about Lily twisting the knife even further by bringing Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) back to represent her.

Devon will talk Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) out of going to the hearing, but Abby will still be concerned about Devon getting his buttons pushed.

Nevertheless, Devon will vow to leave his personal feelings at the door and focus on business.

No matter what happens today, Devon will feel good knowing he can come home to Abby and Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

After Abby and Devon reflect on a conversation they once had about love, Abby will reminisce about it meaning someone’s always there to catch you when you fall.

Once Abby has a flashback of that sweet moment, she’ll smile over the memory.

Before the arbitration begins, Lily will give Devon one last chance to find common ground.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will pop up moments later and warn Lily not to say another word.
