General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) don’t seem to realize just how fast Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is fading. Chase and Brook Lynn decided to bump up their wedding date for Gregory, but they’re also putting some unnecessary pressure on him.

Gregory tried to politely decline when Brook Lynn and Chase asked him to be their wedding officiant.

Since ALS also affects speech, Gregory expressed concern about slurring his words and not being properly understood when he’s leading the happy couple through their vows.

However, Chase and Brook Lynn assured Gregory that he didn’t have to worry about saying everything exactly right.

How could Gregory say no when Brook Lynn and Chase acted like their special day wouldn’t be complete without him performing the ceremony?

Chase and Brook Lynn agreed to have another officiant on standby in case Gregory wanted to bow out, but they’ve backed Gregory into a corner where he’ll fear he’s going to let them down.

Gregory froze up at the Metro Court recently until Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) came to his aid, so his condition is getting worse quickly.

Although Gregory is trying to hang in there and stay strong until the wedding, it’s easy to imagine him collapsing at the reception.

Brook Lynn and Chase may get their blissful nuptials, but the aftermath could bring heartbreak. There could be a situation where Gregory keels over and has to be rushed to GH in an ambulance.

Gregory could end up bed-ridden and experience the rest of his rapid decline soon after.

There’s even a chance the stress that Gregory’s under will lead to some other health complications that might speed his demise along.

It doesn’t look like the show’s going to offer any miracle cures or a wrong diagnosis here.

All signs point to Gregory actually passing away from this illness eventually, so Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding may be the beginning of the end.
